Q. How do I get on the waitlist and how long is it?

A. Please email hello@growingspace.ca to inquire about our waitlist. Generally, we have around 20 families on our waitlist at any one time. While we do our best to creatively work around everyone’s needs, unfortunately, we aren’t always able to meet them all.

Q. Are you a licensed daycare? What age children do you enrol?

A. We are a fully licensed daycare facility. We enrol children between the ages of 30 months - 5 years (pre-K)

Q. What is the staff-to-child ratio?

A. The staff-to-child ratio varies from day to day but is never more than 1:8.

Q. Do you provide lunch and/or snacks?

A. No lunch or snacks are provided. Each child is expected to bring their own food to school.

Q. Do you have extended hours?

A. The operating hours are from 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday and from 8:30am - 12:30pm on Fridays. We do not provide care outside of these hours.

Q. Do you have outside space?

A. Yes, we have a private fenced outside space that the children can play in - it includes a sandbox, mini-garden, play structure and seating area.

Q. What happens if Helen is ill or needs to take a vacation day?

A. Should Helen be unavailable the school will close for the day. In this unlikely event we endeavour to contact parents to give them as much notice as possible.
