Helen Davenport has over twenty years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator with a focus on Montessori-style learning. After working with pre-school aged children, Helen supported a group of parents to start an independent Montessori school and then taught elementary-aged children for ten years.

Helen commutes from West Vancouver to Bowen Island every day, which is a real testament to her love and commitment for Growing Space. She sits on an advisory panel for the Ministry of Education and Childcare in BC, and mentors new educators in the field.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys reading, traveling hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
